Australia and New Zealand host Diplomático Rum’s Master Distiller
On a non-stop trip filled with a lot of great tasting rum, Diplomático Rum’s Master Distiller, Tito Cordero, undertook a tour of Australia and New Zealand during the month of September. Jose Rafael Ballesteros, President of DUSA and Patrick Rabion, Director of Exportation for Diplomático, accompanied him on this first tour in Oceania. Together, the brand presented to some of the most remote places on the map and had the opportunity to discover the unique taste and excellence of Diplomático Rum in magnificent settings.
The journey began in Australia and was organized by Baranows Emporium, distributor of the market, and started with a celebration in the exclusive Waterslide Bar Melbourne. The event’s theme “Be the Face of Diplomático Rum” had the added value that each guest received a personalized bottle of Diplomático’s Reserva Exclusiva, with their face photographed on the label.
Similarly, the Master Distiller and managers for Diplomático Rum, attended the Indie Tasting event at the renowned Frankie’s Pizza Bar, in the city of Sydney, where more than 50 “boutique” drinks were tasted.
Tito Cordero also gave master classes at the prestigious local bars, Eau de Vie, The Rum Bar, The Oak Barrel and The Lobo Plantation, the latter was part of Sydney Bar Week.
After Australia, the Diplomático Rum tour team continued to New Zealand, visiting Auckland, Wellington, Queenstown and Christchurch with different presentations and tastings of wines and spirits.
